Delicious Autumn layout

Happy Monday!  I am hosting the BBTB2 challenge this week.   I am ready to enjoy all things fall, like  drinking hot apple cider and watching Friday night high school football games.  Since the first day of fall was last Wednesday, I thought a theme using the word fall or autumn seemed just the thing for our BBTB2 challenge. My layout uses the CM Cheerful Seasons cartridge for the the delicious Autumn title, basket of apples and apple slice.  The paper is from the Carta Bella fall line. I hope you will check out the fabulous fall projects over at BBTB2 and link one  something you make.

One Smart Cookie layout

Happy Monday!  We have a delicious BBTB2 challenge this week-use a cookie on a project, as it is National Pecan Cookie Week.  Now that's a holiday I can get behind and support 100%!  I believe some cookie baking will happen this week at my house (although not with pecans, since I have a nut-allergic kiddo).    Personally, I am more fond of the cookie dough than the fully baked cookies.  Perhaps I have some instant gratification issues…not that any cookies last more than 24 hours in my house anyway, with three teenage boys around.

My layout (for hilarious pics of some cookie baking by the kids-there was a wrecked kitchen involved….) uses the cookies from the From My Kitchen cartridge and the title is from Just Because Cards.  I've had this awesome mixing bowl and whisk papers in the stash for over a year, just waiting for the right project.  They are from Echo Park, but I can't remember the paper line.  Do bake up a fabulous cookie project of your own and share it with us over at BBTB2, after you check out all the fun DT ideas!

Disney layout day!

Happy Monday!   Our BBTB2 challenge today is to use an imaginary character-well, I think ANY Disney character would qualify, right?  This makes it a Disney layout day for me, so if you love the Mouse and have a million pictures to scrap, hopefully you will find something fun to scrap lift.  And since I had several Disney projects to share, you are getting all three, although only two have imaginary characters.  These were so much fun to make, although I will admit to a bit of swearing while putting Buzz Lightyear together (DO NOT cut him small….unless you want to lose your mind!).  Please note:  for the BBTB2 challenge, any imaginary character will meet the challenge requirements-it does not have to be Disney related.  Go check out the design team projects over at BBTB2 and link up a project this week!

Owie layout

Well, I'm getting this up a little late for Labor Day (after posting the wrong week's post), but my excuse is that I've been hard at work all weekend!  Holiday weekends are business as usual in the ICU world, unfortunately, as people are sick 24/7.  It's nice to have the whole family home on a Monday though!

So our BBTB2 challenge this week is to do some kind of project reflecting or celebrating a career.  Since my mom and I are both nurses, my layout is for the medical and nursing professions.  When my kids were little, they thought nurses spent the workday applying bandaids and kissing boo-boos so I had to include a big bandaid on my layout.  The bandaid and Owie title are from the B is for Boy cartridge.  The doctor's bag and stethoscope are from Everyday Paperdolls.  I hope you will hop over to  BBTB2 and take a look at the cute projects from the rest of the designers!
